Highpoint Senior Citizens Apartments

Highpoint Apartments
In 1979, Mayor Harold 'Pete' Klosterman began seeking federal funds to construct senior citizen housing in the city. Originally, the city chose a site on River Road for the development. Government officials, however, rejected the site because it was too far away from the Ludlow business district. By October 1979, a site on Hay Street near the intersection with Locust was selected. In order to build, three homes and two vacant lots were acquired.
