Brady, Neal "King"

Ludlow Baseball Team

A Ludlow resident who played professional baseball for the New York Yankees and the Cincinnati Reds. Brady also played for the Toledo Mudhens and the Boston Bees. Later in life he coached several amateur and semi-professional baseball teams in Northern Kentucky. He was the son of Cornelius Brady and Cecilia Feeney. Neal Brady was born on March 4, 1897 in Covington.
In 1925, Brady built a new home on Highway Avenue in the Morningside Subdivision. In the following year, he was appointed night patrolman of Ludlow.

Brady died of a heart attack on June 18, 1947 at his home, 23 Oxford Drive, Fort Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Fort Mitchell. Burial was at St. Mary Cemetery in the same city.

At the time of his death, Brady was a manager with the Coca Cola Company of Cincinnati and president of the Summit Hills Golf Club.

Brady left a widow, Ida Tippet Brady; and two daughters, Mrs. Cecilia Schulte and Mrs. James Meader.
