West Covington
Eight West Covington men died in service to their country during the Second
World War. A memorial to these men is located near the West Covington
Firehouse at the corner of Altamont and Parkway Avenue. The eight who
made the supreme sacrifice were: O. Billiter, Howard Leroy Brunsman, C.
Durbin, S. Eldred, C. Furnish, Michael Kelly, J. Park and R. Rechtin.
