A longtime Covington resident and brew master at Bavarian Brewery. Anton Ruh was born on June 11, 1845 in Germany. His parents were Ferdinand Ruh and Teresa Brengartner Ruh.
Anton Ruh was the brew master of Bavarian Brewery in Covington for many years. Ruh’s talent in beer production made Bavarian a regional household name. Anton Ruh died on November 26, 1925 at the age of 80. Anton’s wife, Monica Ruh, survived him. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Aloysius Church in Covington. Anton Ruh was laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
