Fines accrue at the following rates:
Books: 10 cents/day
Magazines: 10 cents/day
Audiocassettes: 10 cents/day
Compact discs: 10 cents/day
CD-ROMs: 10 cents/day
Videos: 10 cents/day
DVDs: 10 cents/day
Video Games: $1/day
Playaways: 10 cents/day
The maximum fine for any single item is $3.00.
The Library will accept payment for fines, fees, or charges in credit, cash and personal or cashier’s checks.
You may have up to $10.00 in fines before your borrowing privileges are affected.
Lost Items
Materials are declared lost by the Library if they are not returned after the item has been overdue for 60 days. Borrowers are responsible for the full replacement cost of such items. Charges for lost materials are based upon the list cost for that item when purchased by the Library.
Computer Use Change
Effective Jan. 2, 2013
Effective January 2, 2013 patrons with a balance of $10 or more on their library card will be required to pay $1 per day to use the public
computers at all Kenton County Public Library branches. This $1 will
go towards paying down the account balance.
Patrons may choose to pay more towards their account balance but are not required.
A library card will be required to use the computers. Free library cards
are available at the circulation desk. You must show a current photo ID. If you have an ID from out of state, please show a recent piece of local
mail as proof of residency.
